About Online Car Valuations
Online Car Valuations is the online vehicle valuation service of Asset Valuations Group, an Australian valuation firm based in Brisbane. We value cars from their registration number against live market evidence, and escalate to a certified valuer's signed report when a figure has to stand up to someone else.
Who we are
Asset Valuations Group (ABN 40 667 565 166) provides independent valuations of vehicles, plant, equipment and other assets for private owners, businesses, insurers, lenders, solicitors and accountants across Australia. Online Car Valuations is its division for motor vehicles valued online: the automated Online Car Valuation and the Certified Comprehensive Valuation prepared by the firm's valuers.
Who signs
Certified Comprehensive Valuations are prepared by Asset Valuations Group valuers and signed off by Paul Khoury, Certified Valuer. Each report names the valuer, the purpose and the valuation date.
Where we operate
Australia-wide: New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory. Registry lookups use each state's registration data; certified inspections are done by video, so location makes no difference to turnaround.
What we are not
We do not buy cars, sell cars, advertise listings or pass your details to dealers. We are paid by you and nobody else, which is the point of an independent valuation. The Online Car Valuation is a market-based estimate from current listings, not a certified valuation; the Certified Comprehensive Valuation is.
If the registry returns the wrong car
You confirm the vehicle before it is valued. If the record is wrong or the plate isn't found, the vehicle goes to our support team, who look it up again with you or refund that vehicle in full, within one business day.

Yes. We are a division of a valuation firm, paid only by the customer ordering the valuation.
Where does your market data come from?
Live for-sale listings on Australia's major car classifieds at the time of each valuation. Auctions, price guides and instant-offer quotes are excluded. See how we value cars.
How is my data handled?
Registration, odometer and contact details are used to produce your report and are covered by our privacy policy. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch our servers.
